I never labeled myself as a religious. Even though if you knew me personally, you would be surprised and say, “Oh, this girl is from those religious fams or so whatever.”
No, I am not.
My prayer is still very quick, and my Subuh is still late. I still ship two or three, still a sinner.
But, every time I heard the masjid playing their murattal tape, it always got my heart.
Every time that masjid speaker was noisy with ibuk2 pengajian, in the morning of Sunday, or the middle of the day on Friday, I sensed a warm sensation, that penetrated deep into my heart. I like it. I feel peace.
Talking about fast-paced, living in the fast-paced environment that I always dreamed of, I knew that the countryside is more belonged to me, slowing down, enjoying every second time, but still in rhythm. Not in the rush, but not too slow.
It’s November and I always take this time to reflect on the past year. I track down what I’ve accomplished, and ask myself if I am satisfied with the life I’ve been living. Is this the life I dreamed of having in November of 2021?
Will my November 2024 be proud of me?
